Over the past several years, the District has expanded its relationship with Bristol Bay Native Association's Head Start program. Three and four-year-old Head Start students now attend school within classrooms located in Manokotak, New Stuya- hok and Togiak schools. This not only provides cost savings to the Head Start program which ensures that the maximum number of students can be served, but it also provides these stu- dents with an opportunity to develop addi- tional school readiness skills as they become accustomed to the “big school” surroundings and interacting with other staff and students.
