SWRS Smart Start 2020 Framework
Posted by Steve Noonkesser on 8/25/2020To prepare for reopening our schools folowing the statewide closure this past spring and in response to a requirement by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development that all districts submit a reopening plan for the 2020-21 school year, Southwest Region Schools has developed a school year 2020-2021 Smart Start Framework based on guidance and a framework provided by the department, which addresses a variety of areas related to public education in our communities.
This plan is based on guidance from the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, the AK Department of Health & Human Services and health professionals. This plan is intended to allow us to operate school in a changing environment as safely as possible and will be revisited regularly to ensure that it is meeting the needs of our students and communities.
