Community School Committees (CSC) provide guidance and advice to school administration. The Community School Committee functions under the direction of the School Board. School Board policy and actions shall prevail and be followed.
- The Community School Committee's function is advisory except in those areas that have been specified by School Board.
- The Community School Committee shall seek to learn the will of the people of the community and to represent their interests in actions taken by the CSC.
- The Community School Committee shall develop an effective working relationship with the school personnel, particularly the site administrator or designee. The site administrator shall be the executive officer of the CSC and administrative head of all parts of the school.
- The activities of the CSC are governed by guidelines set forth in the SWRS Community School Committee Handbook, adopted by the SWRS Board of Education adopted on December 17, 2008 and updated November 1, 2010.
