2019 Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Spelling Bee! There were seventeen participants from six of the schools in the district.

Clarks Point School's Olivia Harvilla won with the word, "infested." She'll be traveling to Anchorage for the state spelling bee on March 19th at 9am, at the Center for the Performing Arts, in the Discovery Theater. The winner of the state spelling bee will be eligible to participate in the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee.

1st Place: Olivia Harvilla, Clarks Point School

2nd Place: Maximus Gust, "Chief" Ivan Blunak School

3rd Place: Abby Kvamme, Twin Hills School

Tied for 4th Place: A Sixth Grader from Togiak, Karen Christopher ("Chief" Ivan Blunka School), and a Third Grader from Aleknagik
